This Little Card of Mine

I have had this My Favorite Things set for awhile and finally got around to using it.   So fun to color and paper piece.  I wanted to do it in bright, vibrant colors so it is a happy card.  I am finding this Hero Arts envelope pattern stamp to be one that I reach for all the time.  I colored the basket with Copics and then stamped over it with the envelope pattern with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Do I have talented friends or what?

I am so blessed to get gems like these in the mail from my amazing friends.  Thank you Nichol (first card) and Latrice (second card) for such beautiful creations and birthday wishes.

 

Another simple male card

Can you say took about 5 minutes?  Sometimes I just like cards with little effort and beautiful papers.  This is the Memory Box paper that was shown in yesterday's post.  I find that the littlest bit of sewing makes it look more finished.

Male all occasion card

My Mom's doctors have been simply amazing so I am sending cards to them to thank them for their loving care.  I need a few male ones and this one was simple, simple.   It uses the Memory Box patterned paper set that Jennifer put on her blog.  She was right -- gorgeous!

Simple birdie

This week's cards are all pretty simple.  I had alot to make so I didn't spend a ton of time on any one card.  This one is especially simple but I love the pop of patterned paper off of the white card.

Supplies:  Purple Onion Designs Birdie stamp; My Mind's Eye Stella Rose/Mabel papers patterned paper; Hero Arts greeting; Ranger Glossy Accents (covers heart); Bazzill Cardstock (green)

Red on red!

I love these colors and mixing turquoise in there just makes it so pretty.   I had not used the Basic Grey background stamp yet.  I honestly struggle with really big patterns.  And this one overwhelmed me a bit at first.  So I cut the card down to a smaller size and it worked better (to me anyway)

A creative day

I didn't realize how long it has been since I posted here... yikes!   I have not felt like creating.  Today Sandi N. came over to play in my studio and the creative juices flowed a bit again.  I'm thankful for friends who share my love of this hobby and can inspire me.

Unfortunately I have a number of sympathy and illness cards to make so I focused a bit on those today.

I saw this branch and nest set from Paper Pretties used on someone's blog and fell in love with it.  So sweet and delicate.   It's hard to see but around the edges of the white die cut piece I softly applied Hero Arts Soft Pool ink with a Paint Dabber.
