I was over at Jennifer's recently and asked Colin to pick a Copic marker color for me to use on the dress in this set. What does a little boy choose for a girl's dress? Pink of course! :-) And the ugliest pink I have ever seen pink. (RV04 -- sorry Copic, not a fan!) The one I ordered online and said I wish I hadn't bought this -- I'll never use it. Wrong! :-) I HAD to use it because sweet Colin chose it. I have learned that of all of the patterned paper I own there isn't one single paper with this pink color in it. I guess I'm consistent in not liking this pink. So... I had to play off the green accent and make the rest neutral. Also, I would usually add some dimension by popping some elements off the card. But I think I'm going to send this to the little girl I sponsor in Brazil .. she'll love it and flatter is better! [Yikes! The skin color is not that bright in real life -- she looks like she spent too much time in a bad tanning booth!]
Supplies: Aim High My Favorite Things stamp set, MFT Die-namics file tab die, MFT Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass die, Copic markers (RV000, RV02, RV04, YG07, E01, E02, E35, E37, Bazzill cardstock, Hero Arts white notecard, Neenah Solar White paper (for the copic coloring), Echo Park Country Drive patterned paper
how fun!

Jana, you did a fab job coloring with this "ugly" pink! I'm not a huge fan of that shade either. Love this sweet, adorable card! Makes it even more special, knowing Colin picked out the dress color. I'm lucky enough to be seeing his mama at Scrapfest this weekend and I can't wait! :)

Boy that sure is PINK!!! But it's cute, and the reason behind the color choice actually makes it adorable.

Love this post!! Just what the doctor ordered!!!! By the way - I love it!! Would some distressed stickles on the dress tone it down??
