I saw someone do this on their blog (sorry I don't remember who) so I wanted to try it. I scribbled Distress Markers: Faded Jeans, Broken China and Peeled Paint all over an acrylic block -- covering it. Then I sprayed it with water and stamped on watercolor paper. To be honest, the first try was a big flop. I learned that you have to spray ALOT of water on it to get the ink to sink in to the uneven surface of the watercolor paper. Because all of the water there was a big ugly pool of it on one edge (where I lifted it last). So I ended up trimming around the edges.
Obviously I couldn't control where the green and blue went so to give the grass definition I created a grass line with Copic and Distress markers. The clouds were inked up with Storm Sky Distress Ink. It was too stark otherwise.
I wanted to use the background stamp but needed a place for "So Blessed". So I stamped it and then covered it with a piece of Eclipse tape to mask it when I stamped and heat embossed the background with clear embossing powder.
