I haven't taught in awhile and I have missed it. Soon I will be teaching one to the employees of Simon Says Stamp and I could not be more excited. Kathy and Shari will be teaching too and I can't wait to see them. I thought I would share one of the cards we plan to make that makes use of Simon's die and DIstress Ink. And remember the card I posted recently with the leaves negative space? This is the card I was creating that left me with that piece!
Most of the card is self-explanatory. For the border I die cut a strip of it using Watercolor paper. I took Broken China Distress Ink and applied some directly to my craft sheet. I sprayed it with some water and then dropped the watercolor paper on it (front side down) and moved it around a bit to make sure it all had ink on it. I did the same with Peeled Paint but instead of dropping it down on it I selectively pushed part of the paper down with my finger (quickly) so I could just get a spot of color on it. Then I let it dry for awhile.
Other supplies: Bazzill Parakeet Cardstock; Neenah Desert Storm cardstock; Simon Says Stamp Hexagon Border die; Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder: Corner chomper: Memory Box Lorelai outline leaf die; Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Words stamp set; May Arts Natural Twine; White pen; Memory Box Primo Labels die; Watercolor paper; black ink

You are such a tease - - I was ready with phone in hand to call and sign up!!!! Love this card!
