This happens to me more often than I'd like it to. Believe it or not, sometimes it happens for me when I have too many new things to play with. I know -- should be the opposite. But I think I get overwhelmed with too many choices. The usual cause for me, though, is paralysis thinking I don't have a card idea that will be blogworthy - that will be special enough or have something unique on it. So I sit there and make nothing.
Recently I was looking at the Simon Says Stamp January Card kit (which I shamefully had not used yet) and admiring the stamp set and beautiful papers.
And it dawned on me --- Maybe every card doesn't have to be a masterpiece. And just maybe a great stamp set and pretty papers speak for themselves! SO... mojo returned a bit when I sat down to create some cards using the kit. It was freeing actually - to just make simple cards. Here is one of the cards I created:
Supplies: Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit; Hero Arts White Embossing powder; Corner Chomper Corner Rounder: Hero Arts Black Folded Card; Simon Very Special Stamp Set; Signo Uni-ball white pen; My Favorite Things Bracket Edge Duo die

I'm in the same boat, Jana - it happens to me more and more lately and I agree - all the products can be overwhelming. Thanks for reminding me that not every card needs to be a masterpiece. Love what you've done with the kit! Beautiful colors and a fun design! :)

This doesn't look very simple!!! It's GORGEOUS. The green and black work so well together. And your faux stitching is the perfect finishing touch.
I lose my mojo frequently.
That's when I turn away from the products and try to do some sketches. This sometimes helps me....

I agree that having more and more choices makes it hard to decide on what to use. Also, I try to force myself to use certain product. That usually ends up in disaster. You should not feel pressured to make every card a masterpiece. All cards have something to offer. Maybe you are using a color palette that I never thought of so I get excited about trying the colors. You inspire me with colors, techniques, designs etc. You, as a person who is willing to put your creativity out there is amazing and I am always grateful to see your ideas no matter how simple or complex.
By the way, I really like this card. The color combination is very striking. Please just have fun with it and don't overthink it. We love you just the way you are.

Very pretty card. I like the colors and the design. Thanks for sharing those intimate thoughts. So true for me. Sometimes I have to tell myself, "Just do it!"
