I have to say that I had a great time making this card. With the Memory Box Bicycle die I set out to make a bike that I would have loved to have as a little girl. (OK, who am I kidding... I'd love to have it now! heehee) Lots of paper piecing later I think I created it!
To create the bike I die cut it in white and then started adding back the pieces in the colors or patterns I wanted it. I started with Ranger's Foil tape Sheets in the places that I thought would be metal.
I used dark grey cardstock in places and patterned paper in places. Then I covered the patterned paper with glossy accents - after all, bikes are shiny! To make the seat look like it was "puffy" I have 4 pieces of paper stacked on top of each other and then put a thick layer of glossy accents on top. The basket is rasied off of the card with a foam dot and I added little flowers with gems. Tell me you don't want to take a ride right now!
The background was done with Distress Inks.... The sky is done with Tumbled Glass and Broken China. The ground was created applying Hero Arts Soft Sand Shadow Ink directly to paper. I love how it smooths out as it dries.
Supplies: Memory Box Bicycle Die; Memory Box Puffy clouds dies; Ranger Distress Inks (Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood and Brushed Corduroy); Hero Arts Soft Sand Shadow ink; My Favorite Things Grass die; My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing Tangerine 6X6 paper pad; Bazzill cardstock; Hero Arts clear gems; Ranger Foil Tape Sheets; Signo Uni-Ball white pen; Technique Tuesday Awesome stamp set; Versafine Black ink; Foam Dots; Ranger Glossy Accents; Memory Box Primula Blooms die

This is awesome! Reminds me of the washi'd bike from CHA. :)

I've just bought that die (it arrived a couple of days ago) but didn't think to use metal sheets. Thanks for the suggestion! Love your card!
