I loved this card when I saw it on casestudychalleng.blogspot.com and had to give it a try. I love how the colored circle peeks out from the vellum.
I knew I wanted to use the Happy Birthday circle from Taylored Expressions' Birthday Treat Toppers die set. I die cut it and then cut out a bunch of circles from patterned paper. It was only then that I realized that these weren't going to work on a typical 4.25 inch by 5.5 inch card. They were too big. But I was determined to use those circles so I made my first 5X7 inch card EVER! After I got over how freakishly large it seemed it worked I think!
To make the green piece I die cut the green four times. I put them together to create a thicker piece. Then I applied Versamark to the top layer and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I applied Versamark again and did another layer of embossing powder.
