I used another Birch Press Design layered die set again. This time the Caprice heart set.
The colors on this are not my usual color palette but I figured with Valentine's Day coming up ...
To create the heart I die cut the top and bottom layer with white cardstock (there are 3 dies in this set). Then I die cut the middle one using a bright fuchsia glitter cardstock. I adhered them all together. I wanted some glittery pink to show throw the holes so I adhered it to some more of that paper and then hand cut around the edge.
To create the background I stamped the Diagonal Stripes stamp on white cardstock (one that I seem to go back to over and over) with Versamark ink. Then I heat embossed it with sparkle embossing powder. Using an ink applicator, I applied Merlot Ink, with a heavy hand all over it. I used a dry cloth to wipe off the stripes to be sure that there was no embossing powder on them.
After matting this background piece on white cardstock I attached it to a top folding white card base. I attached the heart using foam tape.
To create the greeting I stamped it in Versafine and then quickly applied some clear embossing powder and heat embossed it. I cut the ends with scissors and attached it to the heart.
Thanks for stopping by today!
