A few days ago I shared a post where I used the multi-layer Birch Press Design heart dies. They are beautiful but there is no reason you can't use just one layer to create a simple card.
On today's card I die cut the heart from Neenah white cardstock and adhered it to a piece of scrap patterned paper. Then I trimmed around the edges of the heart so I just had that paper peeking out from the holes in the die cut.
To create the background I stamped an older background stamp onto dark grey cardstock using white pigment ink. Because it's pigment ink you need to let it dry for a bit or heat set it with a heat gun. I adhered the grey piece to a 4 bar white notecard base.
I attached the heart to the card using foam tape for a bit of dimension. Then I added a bow made with coral twine with a mini glue dot. I stamped the greeting using black ink on a piece of scrap paper and cut the right end with scissors. Then I attached it to the card, tucking it behind the heart.
