I don't like needing sympathy cards -- and that includes those sent to a friend who lost their furbaby. I bought a stamp set with sentiments for those occasions but I must admit that I don't like have to use them. Tugs at my heart strings too much I guess.... Here is the card I made for a friend who lost her dog suddenly.
To create this card I started with the background. I wanted a tone on tone look so I used Simon Says Stamp Audrey blue cardstock and ink. I repeatedly stamped the paw print.
For the sentiment I stamped it on black cardstock with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I cut the one end to a fish tail and attached an epoxy heart for a little detail. I attached it to the card front using foam tape.
For the doggy I stamped it with black in on white cardstock. I colored it in with Copic markers (E33, E35, E99, R02, R08). Then I die cut it and attached it with foam tape.
I adhered the card front to a top folding card base and then added some dashed white lines around the outside of the card front.
Thank you for stopping by today.
