Announcing a new Copics class!

A number of you have been asking about this and I thank you for your patience as we get the details together.   I am happy to make you aware of an opportunity to learn more about Copic markers.   It will be held at Simply Scrapbooks in Kettering, OH on Monday 5/24 from 6-8 pm.  Cost is $27 (does not include the cost of markers).   This class is a bit different than others I've taught so here are the details from the store's description of the class:

Join Jana Millen, certified Copic instructor,  to learn all of the wonderful things you can do with Copic markers.  You will learn about the markers themselves, the color system, blending techniques, shading and  more.    In the interest of learning about and practicing several techniques in the time that we have, we will not make any projects.  But we will have time to color and play and try them out!

You will need at least one “set” of Copic Markers that can be blended.   A set is markers where the letters in front of the color code are the same but the numbers are 2-3 numbers apart.  For instance, E31, E34, and E37. You will also need a blender pen (0 is the color code).    If you don’t own any sets or markers we have them in stock at the store and you can purchase them there.   Plan to share markers with others and you will do the same so you can get experience with lots of different color families. 

Here are some suggestions on color “sets” to bring or purchase (but they don’t have to be these):

wonder how crazy it would be to try and fit this class into my life?? I would love love love to first own the markers and then know how to use them. Tempting very, tempting.....
