OK, we all know that. (stating the obvious) Every once in awhile I try to do a really distressy card. I love Ranger products and use them on just about every card for texture or color dimension but don't often pull out Crackle Accents and Distress Stickles. Thought I'd give it a try with this Unity stamp. Marginal -- because, as I said, I'm not Tim. But it was fun to play.
I stamped the image on a manila tag in Walnut Stain Distress ink. I stamped it again and cut out the bird and covered it with Fired Brick Distress ink. Then I covered that with Fired Brick Distress Stickles and let it dry. The best way to spread it around is with your finger. After cutting out the stamped whole image I colored over the branch with a dark brown Copic marker to make it stand out from the Walnut Stain, then cut around the image. I then covered it with Ranger Crackle Accent and let it dry overnight so it would crackled. I used Bo Bunny patterned paper (the green) and assembled the card. I used TIm Holtz's edge distresser around the edge of the red paper and then some Walnut Stain around the edges of the red cardstock to age it a bit. Ok, now that I'm looking at this I realize that the bird needs an eye! Off to apply a tiny little blob of black enamel accents. :-)
Supplies: Bazzill cardstock; Ranger Distress Inks (Walnut Stain and Fired brick), Crackle Accents, Fired Brick Distress Stickles, Edge Distresser; Manila tag; Copic marker; Bo Bunny patterned paper
Tim or not - it's still a very nice card.
