Many of you may have seen the card drive for a sweet girl named Maddy at Simon Says Stamp. You can read more about it here. Maddy is a 13 year old battling leukemia and she will be receiving a stem cell transplant from her 15 year old sister Melanie. It breaks my heart to see a family go through this.
Several months ago most of the dies that I owned were lost. So I set about replacing the ones I like most. Well lo and behold they were found! So now I find myself with an abundance of extra dies. I could not think of a better way to use them than as prizes to encourage sending even more cards to Maddy and Melanie, something that is so very important to our friend Heidi (Simon Says Stamp owner). So we are starting a new drive (an extension of the SimonSaysStamp.com one):
Cards of encouragement and love for these girls would do so much to lift their spirits. Every person who sends at least one card will be entered in the drawing for the die giveaway. If you have already sent cards to Simon Says Stamp you will be entered in the giveaway. If you have some time, though, and can send more cards, we would love that. Please send cards to the following address by the end of September. I will draw the winners in early October. Please include a slip of paper with your name, email address and mailing address so we can find you if you win! Send cards to:

I have to ask, in prize lot 3, there is a solid butterfly. Who makes that die? I need to buy it :) I got some die cuts from it, and loved them.

This will bring much joy and surprise to the girls, you are all doing a great thing. I have just gone through a year of cancer, while some people and even friends disappeared shockingly, some caring thoughts in a handmade card, were gifts I treasure. Such fun to receive surprise snail mail. Isn't our hobby a giving one! That's what I love about it.
I'll make a card to send, maybe 2. I'm wondering how old the girls are and if they have any favourites? or preferred messages depending on their ages.
Thank you for doing this.
