One last card for the year

I am obsessed with snow this year -- the real stuff!  And therefore, snowmen, snowflakes, snowy scenes. I have had this Paper Smooches stamp set for awhile but haven't used it and was excited to play. This is my first time using a stencil and embossing paste. I grabbed the jar of paste thinking it was white and then realized when it dried that it was translucent. Whoops! Not what I intended but it looked good so there you go! 

One more Christmas card for the year

I hope your Christmas was a Merry one.  It is hard to believe that it has come and gone so quickly.

When I made cards with the Simon Says Stamp Funky snowflake I was left with these glittery stars and I couldn't let such glittery goodness go to waste! :-)

 

Yes, you've seen this washi tape before!

But not with this Simon Says Stamp Funky Snowflake die! I love how big and bold it is. And since it has fewer teeny little pieces than some others it is easier to die cut glitter paper. I just love the sparkle of this. And much to my surprise? The Hero Arts Star Gem embellishments fit in the middle of the die cut like they were made for it.

 

 

 

Happy Christmas cards

You know I love these Pure Innocence images. Copics and paper piecing - my fave! In the past I've used the Simon Says Stamp border die in the background of this card and put it where the opening/circle is.  But for this I figured the circle could serve as a place to anchor the stamped image. I like the way it turned out!

Friends Like You Christmas Kitty card

I am a sucker for the Simon Says Stamp stamp sets that Kristina Werner creates with kitties. This one was fun to color. I paper pieced the package -- Sorry I used a paper pad that I bought LOTS of last year because I love it and it's hard to find (Carta Bella Winter Fun). Hard to tell but I put Wink of Stella clear on the bow and ribbon on the package and it's just the right amount of sparkle.  The background was die cut using this L'Il Inkers Stitched Mats Rectangles die set.  I used a strip of glitter paper for the snow. It seems this year that if a card doesn't have something glittery on it?  It's not finished!  

 

Washi Snowflake Window Card

I'm addicted to this Kelly Purkey washi tape from Simon Says Stamp... and Hero Arts snowflake gems (I seem to use them every year) .... and glitter paper ... and...    pool color notecards....      

This card came together really easily and so fun to play with this washi. I must admit that die cutting this intricate die from glitter paper was challenging but I love the result!

 For those of you who know me you know what card is next don't you?  MUST use the circle piece covered in washi that was created when I punched out the circle.  Can't waste it!  Ha!

Birthday card.. or is it?

I made this for Jennifer McGuire's daughter Audrey's 16th birthday.  I had it totally done and turned it over and saw..... THIS!

Uh... Oops! I was going to start over but then I realized that this could be a great gift card holder - which is what I was giving her. So for all you know I am incredibly creative in coming up with this brilliant idea -- or maybe not!  Ha!

So while I had the supplies out I figured why not make an actual card!

Joy woodgrain card

I made a card with the Papertrey die I used on yesterday's card to show a totally different look. LOVE the wood paper that Simon Says Stamp sells so I used it on this card.

I am way behind on Christmas cards.. as usual!  Every year I swear I'm not going to let that happen yet here we are. I liked this Papertrey Wonderful Words die because I figured I could make some quick mini cards. And this came together really quickly!
