Happy Anniversary to A Blog Named Hero! As a long time fan of Hero Arts I share their passion for their products and I'm so thankful that they have been inspiring us for 5 years! And I am happy to be part of Day 2 of a two day blog hop to celebrate. If you missed any part of today's blog hop you can head back to A Blog Named Hero to start from the beginning.
For today's cards I used a beautiful Hero Arts stamp -- Artistic Dahlia! It is one of my favorite flower stamps ever. I set out to make one card and couldn't stop! I ended up making five! Ever since Kristina Werner clued me in that Bristol Smooth cardstock is the bomb with Zig Clean Color markers I have loved them! The color moves around so easily with just a little water.
I was away from home at a crafty gathering when I did the stamping and coloring. I stamped in black ink, applied a little water with a water brush and colored away! So these weren't turned into cards right away. When I went to do that I realized I had stamped them too far to the right! So... I remembered seeing Jennifer McGuire die cut over the edge of cards many times so I thought I'd give that a try with this card design.
Using some coordinating colored cardstock I die cut using Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies and then adhered it to the card front using foam tape. To create the greetings I grabbed a few Hero Arts stamp sets, stamped greetings on black cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing powder. I adhered the left side and then put a little foam tape under the right side.
I thought it needed a little more so I added white dots around the circle with a Signo white gel pen and added some Spectrum Clear Sparkle pen over the flowers.
Here are the other four cards:
So let's talk Giveaways! A Blog Named Hero is so thankful for their wonderful sponsors and collaborating companies! Giveaway prizes total more than $500! To win, leave a comment on each hop stop. They will select winners randomly from different blogs so the more blogs you visit each day, the greater your chances of winning!
