Welcome to Day 2 of the Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Blessings Blog hop. If you missed Day 1 be sure to check it out here. If you are hopping along on the Day 2 hop you should have come from LeAnne West's blog. To start at the beginning of Day 2 go here.
For today's cards I used the fun Confetti Background Stencils set.
For this card I used both stencils, first embossing one using gold embossing powder and Versamark ink and then embossing the other with white embossing powder. I thought it looked festive on this dark background. To add a little dimension I used two rectangle dies to cut a frame from the card. My initial plan was to let the gold background show through but I decided to use some thin foam tape to pop the frame up a bit.
I used the Birthday Cheer die set to create the greeting and then adhered the cardstock to a gold foil cardstock card front and a white card base. I used some small metallic gold dots to complete the card.
Card 2 shows a completely different look.
Did you know that Honey Bee Stamps now has blending brushes? Yep! A set of larger brushes and a set of smaller ones! I used them on this card and they were perfect for the job.
I taped the card and the stencil to my media mat and used a rainbow of colors of dye ink to create this background (on white cardstock). So quick and easy with these brushes! Then I stamped the Grateful Each Day stamp on white cardstock to create the greeting. To add some dimension I added a thin red and black mat and popped the whole thing up with foam tape.
I wanted to define the edges of the card front so I added a black mat there too before adding to a card base. The final touch was some enamel dots. (you can see those are well loved -- need to get some more!)
We are offering TWO $50 gift cards to the Honey Bee Stamps Store, one from Day One and one from the Day Two comments. In order to be entered to win, all you need to do is hop along with us and comment on each blog. Winners will be announced on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog.
Next stop on today's hop is my friend, the uber-talented Nichol Spohr.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and have fun hopping!

I really like your cards. The blue one is very elegant and classy. And the rainbow one is adelghtful way to add colour to an otherwise ordinary die. Lovely.
