It makes me happy when crafty companies come together -- not competitors - but working together on a day like today! Love all of these companies.
Today I used products from all three companies to create this card:
Step one was to create the background. I used the Pineapple Collage Stencil with Thermoweb Metallix Gel in the Pure Gold color. I applied the gel with a palette knife and then let it dry. I loved that it didn't take too long to dry. Once it was dry I cut it down so that I could matte it with gold cardstock, black cardstock and then mount on a top folding white card base.
I sometimes have trouble stamping sentiments without pushing too hard and smooshing the image. So I used my MISTI to stamp a greeting from Picket Fence called Today is all About You using Versamark and heat embossing with Hero Arts gold embossing powder on a strip of black cardstock. A thin strip of foam tape behind the sentiment added some dimension.
The final touch was to add some gold sequins using Gina K Connect glue.
