I might have actually jumped for joy when Concord & 9th asked me to guest design for Feature Friday this month. Especially when I saw the new release. It is one of their best. I set out to make two projects and.. well... ended up making five! I just couldn't stop!
My first card uses the gorgeous large snowflake and die from the Snow Flurry Stamp Set. This snowflake is stunning.

I stamped the snowflake in Veramark ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts gold glitter embossing powder. I die cut the snowflake from a second piece of white cardstock so that it would line up with the stamped image. I adhered a sheet of acetate behind the opening with double sided tape. Then I added a double layer of foam tape behind it to create the shaker and give it plenty of room for the goodies inside to shake around. I added Hero Arts Champagne sequins and Simon Says Stamp Moonshine Confetti Sequins. I adhered it all to a My Favorite Things Gold Shine cardstock and then to a folded card base. To create the greeting I cut one of the greetings in the set so I could stamp it as one long greeting. Then I stamped it on a white banner and popped it up with more foam tape. I added a few sequins to the card front using Gina K Connect glue.

When I die cut the opening for the last card I had a piece of white cardstock that just needed to be used!

I stamped the large snowflake on the die cut piece using Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue ink. I used my Misti stamping tool so I could stamp it with Versamark a second time and then heat emboss with Hero Arts clear embossing powder. To create the card front I stamped the smaller snowflakes in the Snow Flurry Stamp set in a random pattern using Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue ink on Audrey Blue cardstock. To add more detail I used a white gel pen to add some white highlights to the images and small dots (to mimic snow). I adhered the large snowflake to the card front and allowed it to hang off the edge a bit, trimming off what hung over the edge. I adhered the card front to a white folded card base. I stamped a greeting from the Snowflakes Turnabout Stamp set on black cardstock and heat embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder. After adhering them to the snowflake with foam tape I added a few clear sequins and this card was finished.

I used the Snowflake Turnabout Stamp Set to create the next card.

I wanted to give these snowflakes an artsy, less crisp look. I stamped the turnabout using these Distress Inks: Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Tumbled Glass. I used Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper. I inked up the stamp and then spritzed a little bit of water on it and stamped it. Once they were all stamped I sprayed the whole surface with Sheer Shimmer Spritz to add a glisteny finish. This allowed the inks to spread just a little bit more also. I stamped the greetings on black cardstock and heat embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder using the Very Merry Sentiments Stamp set. I popped them up with thin pieces of foam tape. The card front was adhered to a blue folded card base. Nuvo clear, silver lining and Caribbean Ocean drops were add to the center of some of the snowflakes.

Next up is the Cozy Christmas Stamp set. What a pretty set. On the first card created a rainbow background using the border stamp.

I used my MISTI stamping tool to ensure even spacing of the stamping and used these Gina K Designs inks: Red Hot, Turquoise Sea, Lucky Clover, Sweet Corn and Tangerine Twist on white cardstock. I adhered the card front to a piece of red cardstock that is just a bit wider and then to a card base. I stamped the greeting using the Very Merry Sentiments Stamp set (so many fun greetings on this set). I heat embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder on black cardstock. Foam tape holds the greeting in place and adds a bit of dimension.
My last card uses the Cozy Christmas Stamp Set again for a simple card.

I stamped the greeting the same inks I used on the previous card to stamp COZY. I die cut the white square piece using a stitched square die. I cut an opening using the same die in a piece of red cardstock and then die cut a rectangle to create a card front. I adhered the red piece to the card front using foam tape and then inserted the greeting piece into the opening, adhering it directly to the card front. A piece of baker's twin tied in a bow finished off the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Look for more inspiration from this wonderful new release next Friday.
