I have wanted an American flag for a long time and haven't had one in years. I just never got around to getting one. I finally got one for the 4th of July and it made me so happy to put it up. The older I get the more the flag means to me .. I get kind of choked up when I see one. (I know, I'm a sap)
I know that July 4th reminds us of parades, picnics and fireworks. I hope we will all remember what this holiday is really about as we enjoy time with family and friends. Have a wonderful 4th!
My parents' Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy -- Maddie! She is the sweetest darn thing. I got to meet her over Thanksgiving.
OK, so if you can read you can figure out the answer in the 2nd photo! :-) These pictures were actually taken on a previous visit and we're going a bit later this year so the leaves aren't this beauteous right now. But you get the idea. I'm on my annual trip with the girls for a few days of shopping, eating, talking, laughing -- you know, girlie stuff. So Fun!
I just got back from Traverse City MI where I visited my sister and her family to celebrate my nephew's graduation. Such a great long weekend. If you haven't been to TC you really should try to -- it is so gorgeous in the summer time.
I got back last night and didn't feel like creating, so no card for today but... Each year I do a photo shoot with my niece and we usually do it at the beach. This year we did it at these really cool, run down old buildings. I thought I'd share some of her and Brittany, her friend. She is so photogenic and we always have such a great time when we do this. I haven't spend much time with them in Photoshop other than cropping them. (and Lisa Russo whose link is on the left of my blog page, who is the most amazing photographer, played with the first one in PS for about 5 seconds and made it look tons better just with that!) The others are straight out of the camera for now. Hope you enjoy them!
I knew there would be days when I wouldn't have time to make a new card and we're now on one! :-) Hope you don't mind a photo for today. I think I may need to see it more than anyone as it is incredibly dreary and rainy in Cincinnati today. And looking at it makes me happy. This is a photo I took last year of a tree in my back yard. Now, it is not looking like this at my house yet. But looking at it reminded me why I love Spring so much. And that it won't be too long until this tree in my backyard looks like this again. I can't wait.....
